The Monal Top trek is a himalayan trek in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand, India. This is an ideal trek for a family tour, visiting a village with young children, connecting with culture, camping in the hills nearby, and spending time in the village during both summer and winter seasons. Through alpine meadows, moraine ridges, pine trees, valleys, villages, and rivers, providing breathtaking views of the snow-capped Monal Top peaks in the Garhwal Mountain range.
The trek starts with a 250 km drive from Rishikesh to Wan Village, where trekkers have to stay overnight before beginning the trek early in the morning. The journey involves trekking through oak and rhododendron forests to reach the first campsite at Deli Gate (9,300 ft), followed by a summit day to Monal top (12,099 ft) where trekkers can watch and feel a stunning sunrise and heartful views of the Himalayan peaks. The trek concludes with a descent back to Wan Village before returning to Rishikesh, offering unforgettable memories of this unexplored Himalayan adventure.
